Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Kass,
I think you're right. I've never seen a boy with that soft tan (guess you'd call it a pastel tan?) color. I have not ever seen it on anything but Easter Eggers though. I think it is a pretty color though. Think that is from Mensa's line?
Pretty sure she is.

I do have chicks besides Rudy, here are a few pics of the 6 weekers

When I first started reading this post I first though, "Ummm, who cares about the other chicks! I want Rudy pictures all day, everyday. Rudy is the ONLY chick as far as I'm concerned"

Then I saw your pictures!

First, they are getting soooo big! I love them all and secondly, I'm afraid this one is tied for my love for Rudy...ok, maybe not tied, but a VERY close second!!! Plus, I'm usually a clean neck person and she appears to have a bib and I love it!!! (I think I'm over the clean neck and starting to like bowties and bibs, just not the girl I have with a bib...)

I'm trying so hard to keep a mixed flock, and with the money I spent on the Cream Legbars, they will have to stick around for awhile, but at this rate I might end up with all NN's if my hatch succeeds! Its so hard to pick just one for a favorite.

I've had my eye on her since she started feathering. I usually like cleaner necks but she is very pretty, her coloring is stunning in person. And that porcelain white skin is so delicate looking.

Her light skin is beautiful! I thought I preferred the dark skin, or at least dark/slate legs, until now...

I forgot what the SOP is for leg color (not that I'm honestly concerned about it), is there a color they are 'suppose' to be?

Mostly yellow

but the black feathered ones sop is dark legs. I am so not a fan of the yellow leg, though I do have some w/ that still.

I LOVE that each chicken can be and is unique and has their own look. The first chickens I got were EE for that very reason, then I learned about NN and it was all over. I do have one EE left, but I am hooked on NN for life. And not sop NN, though I have nothing against others raising them, I want the fancy pants, top knotted, dark skinned, wild flower version of chickens, let others enjoy their "rose garden" chickens.

I agree! I wish there was a way to stay close to SOP but still have flashy birds.
