I was just wondering if anyone is going to post a NN thread on the Heritage/SoP forum section? In a way I was thinking about starting a new thread about heritage NN but I think it will get 1 post count per month and will make me feel embarrassed for posting it.

I was out introducing the "teens" to some grubs I found. I was noticing the one red chicken hatched from both batches, even though the eggs I hatched from came from 3 red hens (among some others) anyway I have known the red one is a roo for some time, almost from hatch. He has a pea comb and his grandfather was an araucana. Anyway I could swear I see tufts on him, not muff and beard, tufts! But his mother has no discernible tufts!!!!

Why couldn't he be a girl!!!!

Ha I seriously doubt it this is his sister; she's three weeks older than him. In this picture she's the same at as he is in the one I posted.

I can't get over how quickly our new guys are growing this year! I think it makes a huge difference when you already have older hens laying and you aren't waiting for eggs!

Busy day today, load of clothes, mop house, plan meals, do a quick trip up road to where the house is im hoping to buy me doing the driving, found it. Scoped the area for shopping locations, then headed home. My niece knocked on door and told me chicken lotta. Chicken downstairs! Thought for sure it was Emu my NN. Was fearing it was dead or injured since its a 3 story drop. Nope it was Penguin running around the courtyard below. Took a few minutes to catch, note to self bring food next time he will come running!
Let my doe rabbit run around my bedroom, she bit my phonecord. Talked to hubby about the house and hoping we can get money transfered soon. Had some leftover spaghetti chicks thought was heaven. My babies sure are growing. When can you tell males from females? Color of combs? Mine are around 1 month old. Give me something to do tomorrow while I drink my cup of tea.
