I want to take him home.... and knit him sweaters. I love him!!That is my intention, if he / they can reasonably make it through our winters. Taking it one step at a time.

He doesn't like to be handled much, throws a fit every time I pick him up, guess he is the independent teen phase. (or is it the terrible twos?) He is awesome to look at, and has quite a spunky personality. I highly recommend NN, you can make them as fancy as you would like. And if you hand pluck the difference the first time you process a NN will be impressive.I keep coming back to look at Rudy. I get such a kick out of him that I really can't help but laugh. My partner didn't think he was a real chicken until I showed him pictures of other birds on the internet.
Kassaundra, I bet you never get tired of looking/messing with him. I don't think I could leave him alone because he is so adorable but all of your chickens are very attractive. I've seen a few naked necks around here in Ky but they looked very plain compared to many I see on this thread.
We're getting hatchery Dark Cornish to fill our freezer this winter but we are seriously looking for high quality Buckeyes (I think we have found the right breeder). While I don't think a 'Rudy' would make it with us, a few NN chickens might be in our future, at some point.![]()

I love his little butt!! Haha, can NOT get enough of him!
