Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Calvin Hobbs roosters As per Kev they are all handsome but if you are working on NN the choice is number two hands down. Number three will be quite good looking also. What are your goals and how many hens do you have.

Here is Baby Solo updated

Does he fill his crop up or what ?

New hen on the roost from a friend.

Here us a photo of one of my new NN babies. The most of them are this color. Black but I may get a few Birchen colored ones.

Would like the opinion of those in the know about NNs on my NN. Somewhere around 17 weeks old. Thanks!

Forgot to mention the leg feathers. Is this common? Best guess as to what the parents are? Someone suggested Brahma.

I'd agree with that- classic picture of brahma cross. He's going to be a handsome roo. :)

edited to add- he also has pea comb. His color/patterning very clearly shows a cross with light brahma.

Looks like he is going to be pretty good sized.

My county is 4 hens no roosters on less than an acre. Luckily i have only 4 hens, lost the rest in a boating accident, and no roosters, also lost those in a boating accident. So far i have only witnessed one crowing event and none of my neighbors were aware of it.
