Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Ouch ouch ouch!!!!!

Sweet roosters like that are priceless. Hope he recovers.

He made it! Today he's running around, eating, drinking, crowing like crazy....and doing his best to make babies with every female that comes near him.

He also seems even MORE affectionate before and has now developed the habit of rubbing against my legs like a cat until I reach down and pet him.

By the way how are your long black youngsters coming along?

Every time I see that breed or others with similarly very thickened scales etc there's a strong urge to shoot them up with ivermectin and oil up their legs REAL good..

But,

Are they bred for the look or for more chicken leg/feet to eat?

I was thinking, that breed with a thick NN would be one very strange looking chicken... like a giant heavy dinosaur in miniature.

I think they are bred that way mostly b/c of more chicken legs to eat, it is a delicacy there. I read that somewhere.

I got the impression they were bred/built for mortal combat. I'll look into it...got myself curious now.

Sounds like a business opportunity! Have 'clients' bring their mean nasty cock birds to your place for overnight treatment. Give a goodly dose of whatever scorpion 'juice' your bird got and charge $75 or $100 bucks!!
