Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I might be the only person on the planet that feels this way, but I HATE MY BRINSEA. I saved for sure 12, 4 more are in critical condition in ICU

sorry to hear that and good luck to the little ones.

if I were you I wouldn't use that incubator any more. it is too much stress and birds with poor health. but you are not me and you will do whatever you like.

Okay guys, Miss Phyllis went broody, but that poses some logistic problems, how does a momma chicken keep her babies warm w/o feathers. The answer of course is a special maternity dress, like that wasn't obvious

This is prototype one. It is the leg of one of Gary's thermal undies and some wool scraps.

I am really impressed by your dedication to your birds. I think she looks adorable! Kind of like a cheerleader in the bottom photo.

Now that's...special. Don't know what to say, but it made me laugh. Is she laying green eggs?

I have just lost 1 of my NN girls. one moment she was eating and the next moment she was dead. I was in the next door run feeding other chickens when I heard a flying noise, I turned and she was dead. any idea what happened? she didn't look sick and she was a good layer, laid her last egg today. RIP Alina

I don't know what happened, but am sorry for your loss

No Phyllis doesn't lay green eggs I have very few (only one) that does. I lost nearly all my green egg genes in the chickenpoccolypse a few years ago.
