they look like girls to me. both are beautiful, I guess I am the only one that love feathered legs on NNs.
if you cross them with non-NNs you should get 50 % of NNs.

I love feathered legs on my NNs! Togepi has bell bottoms, haha! I got these two as a surprise in a bunch of hatching eggs (fun and funky mix from My Pet Chicken). I really want to cross them with my Easter eggers and silkies (I have a frizzled EE and a regular silkie roo) and see if I can't get a fun mix but a friend told me there's only a 25% chance of more NNs from those crosses, I think she doesn't understand genetics though!

Even thought everybody says that you should and will get half of the chicks Nn, my experience says different. I agree with your friend and believe that you will get only about 25%. Last year I hatched ten chicks. Three were naked necks.

This is my Wally. He is 5 weeks old and is a naked neck Cochin frizzle![]()
That makes sense, factoring in hatch rates and things too.. learn by doing to an extent I guess? Second gen isn't that sure either, if you sell hatching eggs do you add a disclaimer then?
if you hatch all of the eggs and all of them hatch you might get 50% of NNs. that's why I find statistics useless.I love feathered legs on my NNs! Togepi has bell bottoms, haha!
