Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Need help sexing this one. Large comb and wattles, but taking time in nest box fluffing it. Approx. 4 months old I'm guessing. One of it's hatch mates is crowing already. Part of me says roo...but I do have some hens (unrelated) with huge combs and wattles.

Looks like a pullet. Where did you get her? I saw that she has feathered shanks and I wanted to know what breed cross she is.

I wish I knew what cross she was! My sweet husband got me 3 naked necks at and auction we were at to sell excess roosters. I was out of the arena when he did it. I said the only think I was in the market for was ONE BANTAM as a friend for my only bantam cochin pullet. I came back and he had purchased a box of 3 strait run bantam naked necks. The two that were with her are Silkie crosses. But I don't know what she is. I was told on here the others could have been from someone's Showgirl pproject, as they are Silkie crosses but straight feathered with a bit of under-fluff. One of the others does not have a naked neck....but I'm OK with that!

Her legs are bright yellow with a slight green on them.. I really wish I knew what she was. Cochin Maybe? I just don't know.

Don't think she will. It's a bantam. Not tiny...but not big either. She is a bit bigger than my bantam Cochin of the same age. A bit smaller than my sultan hens.

Well in 21 days we'll have a few more Naked Necks running around. I set 72 eggs today. Most will be some form of NN, but there will be a few fully feathered peeps also. Still trying to work in size so adding a little outside blood.

What would you call this color? Black Tailed White? It actually has very few black flecks through out its feathers. It also has a tad bit of red leakage coming out also.

It has me has me guessing what sex it is. First thought pullet. Then thought cockerel, now not sure. Looks almost like a Pullet but has a few longer feathers in the saddle area.

What would be the mother? I had my Golden Partrudge rooster in with 2 Black Gold hens, a Red hen, a Ehite hen, and a Blue Red hen.
