Naked Neck/Turken Thread

All the Chicks arrived safe and all alive today at about 6am. My dad and i went to the post office and got them. I hsd to go to school so he is taking care of them
Today is THE day for the one young male I have. He was making a pest of himself. When I saw his testes I know why, he was ALL boy! There was nothing about him that tempted me at all to keep him.
I have 2 girls on the list today too, which I HATE. Don't know why it is so hard to do the girls. I finished the first one already on a break before I start the second girl. The first girl was Beautimer, the twin (looking) of Beautemous, that I thought might be a boy at first. She has been having failure to thrive issues lately, not sick but not vigorous. She has been having an odd bump on one side of her hip, it was well hidden under the feathers and didn't look like much, but oh man when I got the feathers off it was bad, she had had it for a while, one hip was massively dislocated. She had been able to do all her normal chicken stuff roost and everything until this past few days, she had to have been in horrible pain. I feel bad I didn't see it sooner.
The other girl is also a failure to thrive type thing. She isn't sick just not vigorous.

For those that don't remember Beautimer looked a lot like this only a couple of more neck feathers and no beauty mark on her wattle.

I also have a hard time with girls. It always amazes me how good chickens are at hiding any illness or weakness until it gets REALLY bad...

@Kassaundra, how are your cornish cross girls doing? Are they laying and how much?

The "Tanks" cx gals are doing well, they lay but not like leghorns or anything, but Stripy Butt isn't mounting them so no fertile eggs yet. Working on making some housing changes to increase my odds of getting fertilized eggs from them.
The two girls I culled today were w/ the fm roo, but weren't fm themselves, but no serious culling yet.
Stripy Butt is my only naked male, I also have 2 naked females. Yes Vader carries
