When I ship, and I've shipped all the way to Maine with zero breakage and a 70-80% hatch rate, I wrap each egg in a strip of paper towel and then place the egg point down in an egg carton. Once the carton is full I wrap it in aluminum foil, and depending upon the size of the box, bubble wrap. I use the aluminum foil to help counteract an potential ill effects of X-rays and to add an extra layer of temperature stabilization. The cartons are nestled in various types of packing material, depending upon weather conditions, size of shipment, etc. When I shipped to Maine I pulled out all the stops and used bubble wrap, crumpled newspaper, shredded paper and even pine bedding.

the two pullets im sellingI am about to put a sock tunic on him, but they get so dramatic when I put clothes on them
Well since the massacre if my black/whites I decided I needed to set more eggs. Not sure I got many if any if the eggs from that run. Just hoping I did.
So since I lost 10 hens and a rooster. I set 55 eggs. I know this will make the 10 ( chicken math you know). # 55 fir the rooster replacement. The other 54 about 5 or six probably won't hatch, that leaves approx, 48. Out of those 48 3/4 will be roosters so that leaves me with only about 12 being pullets and figure in a possible mishap in figures that will leave me with ten pullets.
Someone check my math on thus but I really think I'm right in it.
