Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I am fine, too.

I am waiting for the building permit and should move soon (I will make a house of panels). I plan to get pure NNs first and then I will cross them to araucana and marans. I already have 1 Nn hen that lays green eggs.
My black Naked Neck, Agatha, lays pink eggs.

I’m waiting for my 8 week old pullet, Cleo, to start laying so I can see if my Nn rooster, Angus, carries the colored egg gene.
Cleo is the first chick I hatched from Angus and another Nn pullet named Emily.
Angus has slate/blue colored legs and Emily has the willow color. Her eggs are a cream color with the slightest pink tinge.
I have wondered if he carries the colored egg gene and I hope his daughter Cleo will prove my suspicions correct and lay blue/green. :fl

Here’s Angus:

I don’t know what her adult coloring will be as she’s in her juvenile plumage currently.
I think she’s going to have a lot of red though like her dad.
She’s much darker as a juvenile than her mother was.

Hope everything goes well and smooth with moving and house building!!
Are you getting like show birds or just regular Nns? I haven't seen any show type Nns here, but I don't even like them so that's not problem, at least in my case:cool:
I would really like to get some green eggs this year since they became quite easy to find now.

Can you take a pic of that pink egg, I would really like to see that?
Cleo is stunning! Can't wait to see her adult color. It will be interesting to say the least.
Oh, and you picked the best possible name, it suits her perfectly!

I don't care about any show birds. I like colourful flocks.

I will get a picture as soon as I can.
The lighting in my house doesn’t do it justice lol.
