Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I have two now that are around 8 weeks. They look almost the exact same to me, and have rather small combs (I think based on what I've seen for other breeds) but people keep saying one is male and one is female

Post a pic we'll take a guess.

Have to introduce our new flock of girl’s & possibly 2 cockerels.
We made a trip to pick up a black & white turken from @BlueBaby, could not leave the other 2 since they will do better when they are let out with the rest of the girl’s.
We already have 4 Muscovy duck hens & other chickens.

Terrie the Turken, a pullet has some nice black spots & is sweet. The baby chicks are in a garden cart so I can pick up & give them some lov’n, plus they can see all their new sisters running around them.

The one in the third photo, which I think is the one on the right in the second photo, does look like it has a redder comb, so could be cockerel.

Yeah, that's what the other people said too. Was hoping that they were hens since I got 4 chicks like a week ago and the hatchery is notorious for sending mostly male's in their straight runs

a couple of the growout birds, now that DD has a number of Nn blacks the next step is working twords cleaner necks and better conformation to the SOP

Nice birds, everyone. Any one interested in keeping bantam NN's going? Dunlap is the only hatchery I see that sells them presently.

Do a Google for Dunlap Hatchery. They are the only place I know that carries them. I hope they stay in them long enough to be able to get set up and order them.
