Naked Neck/Turken Thread

So cute! Our Lizzie is the sweetest of our 5 girls. We have an Australorp, 3 Dominiques, and Lizzie the nn Australorpe. So they are all rather nice birds, but there is something special about her. She is also the most curious and has been ever since a wee chick. The Doms can be quite vocal in the morning. Just kicking it up with their own special squak that I find obnoxious. Of course they are 15 feet from the back door (we have a tiny back yard in a neighborhood). But still! I sometimes think that if someone wanted to take them next spring and give them a lovely country home, I wouldn't mind! I would then be able to get more NN!! ; )

i have a frizzle polish turken hen and a feather footed turken hen! ill get some pics of them soon.

Hey, I have a twin to your frizzle polish turken. dad is a frizzled polish, mom is the turken. If we didn't live so far apart, I would swear that you were at my house with a telephoto lens.

Can you introduce a couple of Turkens into an established flock? I have 18 hens of various breeds, 1 roo and would love a couple of Turkens.

Absolutely no problem.
I introduced 3 Turkens to my Brahma, mutt bunch and they integrated just fine (Last night the cockerel was tucked under my big boy Brahmas wing for warmth!)

Here's my beautiful "Original" and "Extra Crispy". Yes, Extra Crispy is the darker one. Hatched 01 June this year and hopefully getting my first egg any day now.
