Naked Neck/Turken Thread

How many eggs a week do NN usually lay? Everything I've heard says something different

Does it vary widely on breeder or is there a standard 1-2 or 4-5 a week they usually lay?

I have 5 NN pullets that started laying in March at 6 months. The eggs are now normally large, but a smaller one still shows up. I get 4 eggs daily from them.
They share a coop with an equal number of Delawares and they are more food efficient for the egg output. I swear the Delawares would eat the coop if they could. It will be interesting to see how the cross breeding works out once I get my incubator.

I get 9 or 10 eggs everyday from 10 hens..these are large or jumbo with lots of double yokes, if I didn't have so much invested in the other breeds I would get rid of them.

I'm really enjoying reading this thread and looking at the incredible pictures that have been posted. I don't know if this is the place to ask, but here goes. I have two seven week old Turkens who turn bright red at times. It is like their cheeks/necks are flushed. Is this normal and, if so, why does it happen?

Wait until they get a bit older, the whole of the neck will flush a blood red ,same colour as the wattles and comb, and completely normal for NNs.

Good turken pictures! My profile picture is my NN chick named Giblet! I love looking at every else's pictures to see what he/she (I don't know yet) is going to look like!
