I think it's that they're so ugly that they're cute. Kind of like the Chinese Crested dogs and the Sphinx cats. Here's one of my very favorite pics.

Has anyone ever seen a silkie turken? Not a showgirl, but a turken w silkie feathering similar to what silkie seramas look like. Sound cool...just wondering.
