Just for future reference when one of my hens go broody I was wondering if anyone has Large Fowl barred and blue turken hatching eggs? I would prob get some around June-Augest. I suck at hatching my own eggs in a incubator...
Also I was wondering if it's possible to get chocolate turkens hatching eggs or chicks? I would also take day old chicks if somone is willing to ship around July-Augest.
I think boy. I think the one on the far right is a girl. We should keep track of my guess maybe i have a future in this. I hope I have luck picking todays Kentucky derby horse.
Kassuandra My guess is that your white bird is a cockerel. I don't like to guess on birds just because with NN's one doesn't always know what the mix is. If that white one has got a lot of Leghorn in it then it would naturally develop a larger comb quicker than another bird. A lot of times their personality is what gives them away. I held onto all my NN's that I got from Nava until their saddle feathers started coming in. Once I saw those shiny pointy feathers I knew. How old are they anyhow? I really like the black ones. I think the contrast of their feathers against the skin is lovely.
Having said all that, if I had to guess, and it would be purely a guess, I'd say that the Mrs. White is Mr. White, Red is a girl, the blacks all girls, blue barred a boy , pea comb barred a boy, single comb a girl. I'm no way an expert...I'd still wait until I saw saddle feathers. I have very little experience with pea combs too so I'm really taking a stab with that one.
queenchick16, Kev mentioned on an earlier post that he is recovering from carpel tunnel. I myself have been experience quite a bit of pain after having been online for a while. I don't even have a computer job in the day. (Not sure that Kev does either, but I imagine if he does he's really going to have to give it a rest).
