Naked necks anyone?

What causes this? Do they stay naked?

It is genetic as you've been told, caused an acid imbalance.

My cockerel, the white one, is from @BlueBaby from bresse mixes she got from @cactusrota and my black girls I got for eggs from @cactusrota because they were too small for her purposes. They sure lay eggs though! I'll get pics today and post them here.

What do you mean by an acid imbalance? The gene results in less feather follicles. The follicles literally don't exist.

Not exactly a naked neck, but we adore our showgirl, Marilyn Monroe! I do feel terrible for her when it’s cold and she scrunches in her neck...

She is a rescue. Dumped in an abandoned parking lot. She is a great chicken. Started laying a week after she got here. Super friendly. Steals food from my kids. Walks into the house like she owns it.

Just bought a Naked Neck Roo a few hours ago, He has a naked Chest too.

Not a great focus but it shows how far down he Naked Neck goes
