I show my hubby all kinds of pictures while in posting on BYC.
The first time I showed him a naked neck he said “Poor Babies what happened to them!” I told him that they were a breed!

One of my chicken buddies in a non chicken related chat room saw a picture of a Naked Neck and she said they were ugly. Not many people seem to like them. My favorite chickens tend to be the ugliest or the outcasts.

Since you say it that way, they will definitely be on the short list to get. Other people's perceptions are peculiar. The daughters will love them.

Ideal hatchery offers them and I seriously considered them. The comments here about Ideal having laying birds over true dual purpose/meat birds was holding me back. Thanks for the encouragements. Mosquitos are still a concern.

I used to have a website that red heritage selectively breed to have high meat qualities and they had Naked Necks but this was 5 years ago and I can't find it now. Probably not in business or buried in the crappy versions of search engines we seem to have now.
