Wanted to check fence where Penelope went through on her "walkabout". Our Kawasaki Muel wouldn't start.

Decided to work on the coop run. Got soaked, thunderstorms rolled in 2 hours before the predicted time.

Will watch reruns of reruns and crochet.

I planted buckwheat as a cover crop in those beds.
I did a load of laundry.
I ordered a heated uncapping knife for our next honey harvest.

Same church different pew. My scratcher is yellow and my top extractor gear unit is red. Initial decapping done with a long blade serrated bread knife. Only need the scratcher for shallow cells.

1. Filled a 5gal bucket with water with a straw float pad for the bees, they are all over any thing holding water.
2. Waiting for 8 AM so we can stop at the Twp Refuse Transfer Station "DUMP". Continue on to the grocery store to pick cold cuts, snacks and drinks for tomorrows hillbilly float.
3. 'nother nice day for the pup and I to be outside guarding the porch and drinking coffee while DW preps food for tomorrow, later I'll take our yaks over to in-laws to load drop off truck as mine will be at take out. Fleet of 9, oh boy, guess who lags in the rear.

I got lucky and saw a show with a fellow using a scratcher properly. I see no reason to use a knife when a person can lift off the caps with a scratcher. It's the reason for the bent handle The straight handle ones don't work nearly as good.

You scratch you get all that fine wax particle, I to do the slip and lift also. In my head I think the bees have an easier time repairing comb. The things I think of when I'm not thinking.
