I think your rightI think talking about chickens too much is why we're all here on BYC![]()

My friends are like that too. They put up with me talking about my chickens, but I still try not to talk too much about my chickens.my friends don't have chickens so they just don't understand. I have one chicken lover friend, and it's awesome!

I'm so glad you have one! I bet it is awesome!
I hope I can find a friend that loves chickens like I do. I want to start doing 4H, so there is a good chance I might find someone

The Blue JG is an amazing breed! We originally had 3 of them, but lost the other 2 to predators. We have looked at what breeds we want to add to our laying flock for next year and Blue JG is one of them! That's so awesome you had such a great one, and very sad you had to sell her, moving is such a pain.
They aren't very popular. I actually don't know where TCS got them from (that's were I got the Blue JG from), since Hoover's Hatchery doesn't sell them (that's normally where TCS gets their chicks from).
She was amazing! I'm hoping I can get some next year too.
Apparently there are 2 different strains of JG though. One doesn't go broody as much, but the other goes broody a lot. I guess I got the 2nd strain

I'm not sure how true that is though. She's the only JG I've had, so I wouldn't know. I hope I get the more broody strain when I get them again.
Moving is a pain

Oh, and I say "we" but it's really me just finding breeds I think my hubby will say, that looks cool, and I take that as permission to purchase...

I love blue chickens! That is one of my favorite colors in chickens (if not my favorite. There are so many different colors, it's hard to choose!).I have found out he likes blue chickens I have found.
It is such a beautiful color!
Aw, they are so adorable! Here are my two broody silkies, they are maybe 6 months old and getting practice in for next yearthey're both off the nest now.

I was also thinking about getting silkies, since they are known to be really good broodies.
Here are some pictures of my Blue JG. Her name was Charcoal.
