The Golden Girls! I love that!

Wish I had thought of it.

The Golden Girls are what got me into this mess! I orginally wanted 8 Americanas for the grandkids. They wouldn't be ready until May. I didn't want to wait that long so I ordered 3 Buff Orpingtons. My DD took me to pick them up and she said if you want the golden girls you need 4. So when we got there I asked for a 4th one. Then I spied the bin. Thought I would get 8 for the grandkids even though they weren't the Americanas. Got 4 Golden Buffs and 4 dark ones (don't know what they are) Then we went to tsc for grit and came home with 3 tetra tints and 3 red pullets. so my 3 oringinally planned chicks are now 18.

My 15 year old daughter wanted to name one of our chicks Reptar. I agreed that if it was a rooster (which will have to go eventually, I can't keep roosters) it could be Reptar. We're hoping it's a pullet so we're calling it "Lucy Reptar". My youngest daughter picked Lucy.
My son named one of our first chicks Doctor Cluckenstein. 12 year old boys.....

so far only two of my chicks have names ... the others haven't told me what theirs are yet

dishwater blonde chipmunk (they are all EEs) is Becky
because she pecks everyone (but me)
supposed to be a pullet -- so she is either an alpha pullet, or a (grimace) cockerel

dirty blonde chipmunk is Christina
she has so much eyeliner, she reminds me of Christina Aguilera

dark chocolate brown non-chipmunk, with what looks like a hint of blue coloring
may become Dusk
(however, this is the littlest, and has the least amount of wing development -- hmmm ... )

My daughters helped me name our chicks, we have Zimby (don't know where my 4 yo got that name from), Zippy, Chicky (2 yo named), Piney, Willow, Pip, Squeak, Red, Olga, Lolly (naked neck, my 4 yo said she looked like a lollypop), Peanutbutter (my 2 yo favorite word), Tetra (the tetratint

), and my husband named the one boy Krull!
