Naming of coops

ever since i dug a trench to keep water out of the coop my mom has called it "Coop de le Moat"

We painted ours with all bright colors and decorated it with skeleton chickens to mimic the "Day of the Dead" art of Mexico.

We call it "Dia de los Muertos de Pollo" [day of the dead chicken].

It was inspired by our travels to the Yucatan Peninsula and our son, Calvin's artwork.

THESE ARE TERRIFIC!

I still don't have the coop built, so the babies are housed in the back of a 1984 Dodge Ram 4x4 pickup truck with a cap - plenty of ventilation and outside time, don't worry!

My honey (who so lovingly volunteered use of one of his old vehicles) calls it the "V8 COOP"!

My brother had a Wallaby at his exotic game farm a few years ago; she had a baby and he named it "Joey". I told him I couldn't get over his wild imagination. Chicken Coop reminds me of my brother!!

well it's not really a cook name, but I call our place "The Chicken Ranch". If you from Texas (or like ZZ Top) you should get it. My wife hates when I call it that, but what ever I wear the pants in this family (she just picks them out for me)......

we call ours chick-pik-run.. when we had newborn babies they would always bob their head on my shoulder and root looking for something to eat.. i always told him they look like little chicks.. hence the name chick-pick. now 31 yrs later we actually have chicks lol .. who would have guessed
