NANOWRIMO

Is it really National Novel writing month? lol I'd really like to know. I am currently working on one.

I definitely want to be bugged, chickie. The site's still real slow so all I did was log in but I'm kitty_fish (yeah... I like cats and um, fish?) if you figure out the buddy thing.

Write write write! (or type type type!)

This is my 3rd year to participate in Nano, and I have finished every time.

The first year (2006), I read the book, No plot? No Problem! in August and I was so excited I couldn't wait for November so I wrote a 30-day novel in September just to 'practice' for the big event. Took October off to rest and then came back to do the real event in November.

Last year I got off to a really slow start...hardly wrote anything for the first two weeks. I took November 30th off from work and pulled an all day writing marathon, cranking out nearly 17,000 words in ONE DAY because I was too stubborn to lose. Man my fingers hurt after that!

This year I am going to try to avoid having to do physical damage to my hands by starting off right and trying to keep up with those minimum daily word counts. Falling behind, even a little each day, is what gets you into real trouble.

Good luck to the rest of you, and if anyone is new and needs tips from an experienced Nano'er, just drop me a line and I'd be happy to help!
