Nasal flush for sinus infection

I tried pushing on it and nothing came out. She is starting to smell funky and is holding her mouth open because the abscess is pushing into her mouth now. I wonder if this is Coryza and not MG since it didn’t quite respond to the Tylan.Poor thing is having trouble with depth perception too.
Is a vet an option for you?

If not, then you may need to try to press that out more firmly.
The avian sinus is all sort of connected. So what's in the eye may be pushing out through the choanal slit - just a guess on my part unless you have photos.

So I took Nugget to the vet and he gave me a $1000 estimate to lance the infraorbital sinus to drain it. Included anesthesia etc. There’s just no way I can do that. So instead he gave me another broad spectrum antibiotic and an anti inflamitory pain killer to see if that would help. Also gave me some saline to nebulize to see if that would help loosen up the gunk in her sinus

Sulfatrim is a sulfa antibiotic similar to Bactrim if you have heard of that. Sulfatrim can treat coryza bacteria. Ostilox is meloxicam, an anti-inflammatory drug that can also help treat pain. Sometimes you can see pus up inside the roof of the mouth, and sometimes can push upward to get it to come out. I would continue to try to get it out of the eye by pushing. Perhaps a warm wet compress held over the eye for a few minutes may help before squeezing.

Yes I’ve heard of Bactrim. Will do the warm compress. Will dissolving some magnesium sulphate in the warm water help draw out the infection?

haven't tried it on my chickens yet lol, but they get garlic which is natural antibacterial, microbial and fungal so haven't needed to, I make it for us and the cats and dogs as it stores well, put 8 ounces of olive oil in a jar with lid, and in sliced garlic and shake 2 times a day for 3-5 days, It works well on sinus infections, tooth and ear aches. at end of time strain out the garlic and either feed it to the chickens or use ti to cook with lol, but you can dump a bit on a cotton ball or get it out with a dropper and apply it to affected area. don't reuse dropper though without sterilizing it.

How much garlic do you put in one cup of oil?
