Finally, a much anticipated update! We did have 3 brown leghorns quit in addition to what I'd calculated before, but only the brown leghorns so not sure if that's a heritage thing or if there's just something funky going on. All the other eggs are looking fantastic!

These are our developers! The rest either never developed or a small number quit, but thankfully the others are indeed looking very good. (SO much movement on the Bantams!)

Thank you! I was honestly soooo worried we'd be at this stage with so many less. I'm amazed! It'll sure be a full house brooder. Thankfully hubby recently built me the big custom one. And we'll soon enough have everyone moved out to be ready for introductions which'll be perfect timing for all these eggs to hatch. Too exciting!

The opposite of a problem! (Especially since we're building a second coop to go for our standards, an 8'x12' to attach to our 80'x20' run that's attached to our 30'x15' coop. ) Hubby said he expected to marry a crazy cat lady, not a crazy chicken lady but that he's "here for the adventure."

It's ok to be both a crazy cat lady and chicken lady. My hubby knew I had potential to a crazy lady of some sort, would it be goats, quail, chickens, horses, wild birds.... Turns out it's all of them. But seriously, glad your hubby is on board with your chicken addiction! It's wonderful when they build us a new coop because we NEED more birds.

It is! He even really wants to build a bachelor pad. Who am I to deny his dreams? (Especially since they align with my own - win-win for both of us!)

Sadly all but one Ameraucana did quit/never developed. :c I do plan to get some purebred Ameraucana eggs, and I would love to name one that hatches Mossy! It’s a super cute name.
