Yeah they get along pretty well. Never have serious problems out of them.
I actually have more than that! Haha (I, unfortunately, probably need to sell the good looking, very well tempered EE's
)
(1) Speckled Sussex
(2) Silkies (one is still younger)
(1) Black Japanese
(2) EE's
(1) Frizzle Cochin (younger)
(1) Silver Duckwing OE (part of the youngest group I have)
It has worked out well so far because the Sussex used to get picked on and was quite timid. Once I got rid of the two that picked on the others, he wound up falling into top of the pecking order -- but he is GREAT with the hens from what I've seen. I hardly ever see him even mess with them. The Silkies kind of stick to themselves and don't really bother the others. The Black Jap is small (of course) and he is like one of the hens almost!
The EE's probably get on the hens the most, but they are mild mannered and aren't very violent with the others. The little Cochin has been decent from what I've seen so far, and the SD OE is like the Black Jap -- small and hangs around with the hens than acts like a rooster (but of course he is still fairly young).
