I am Aleksandra and I am in Lexington, SC.
I have been reading this forum for some time and finally decided to join.
I would like to come to meet up and meet people in person and posibly get some chickens.

I'm just wondering how this works. So you meet up with people on the forum. But how?
people here are soooooooo far apart. How can you meet people if they live half way across the country?

Hey chicken_boy,

Since we have a lot of people from NC, we decided on a central location (Raleigh) to meet.
And since there are many more in VA, SC, and GA, we extended the invitation to them as well.
Right now we have about 37/38 people coming and we are sooooooooo excited...............This is the chance of a lifetime to be able to meet so many people at one time.

some of the folks on NCpoultry2 were wondering about our meet in Raleigh, are we welcoming everyone or do they need to join BYC?

It would be nice if they joined here too so we know who we are meeting, but I don't guess it really matters.

Why not have them join, no harm, no fowl (pun intended!) that way...it really is a BYC 'sponsored' event...have them register and add their names to the list so we can get them counted for a seat and a nametag and come on!!! They shouldn't have any issues with registering, we see some of them on the board anyway so a few of them are members already. I would just rather that we stay under the umbrella of BackyardChickens as 'sponsor' because we are trying to get some media/press support for this event and that has already been solicited. So, yes, NCPoultry2 members, please register with BYC, add your names to the meeting list and come join us on the 23rd!! Bring your chickens to swap/sell too, the more the merrier!! Looking forward to it!!

WOW !!! that is going to be alot of people for sure. Not to mention alot of chickens as well.

Broom Hildaaka Mrs Butthead and I cant wait to see everyone. Hey just so everyone will know what my loving other half looks like I took a recent pic of her and I am using it as my avatar... Hope this will help out?
