Well the chicks are nearly 4 weeks as the title says and they are really filling out especially the Pekins!

Nugget (the more yellow one) is as bold as brass, seemingly fearless.

Kiev (the more reddish one) is more timid and cuddly of the two.

Heihei is the GLW who's feathering so much!

Cinders is the BLW who has developed a pinkish colour to her rose comb

I think the Wynadottes are more tricky to tell gender anyway but how does it work with the rose comb if it's a dark colour or black. Is it just a case of waiting and seeing?

The Pekins though I think are looking like we have a Roo and a pullet which I'm super excited about. Does anyone see anything different in these too so far?

I'm hoping at least one of the Wynadottes are pullets but will just have to wait I guess. I have seen pictures of the roosters and they seem to look Very different once grown, I'd been interested to know at roughly what age the feathers seem to change completely between them. The hens look like they have an even lacing whereas the roos look like they only have some lacing.

These are so hard to photograph now but this is the Wynadotte with the most wattle and comb development.

Could there still be a chance this is a pullet? They are 4weeks 2 days today.

The other Wynadotte is chest bumping this one and the Pekin boy but showing very little wattle development and the comb is still dark brown/black. Could this be a sign of a rowdy pullet or a Roo?
