Nebraska????

BRRRRRR!

I hear it is supposed to be 40 this weekend! I sure hope so, I have a bunch of chicks that hatched recently and I have been keeping them in the house because of the cold. I have a brooder out in the coop, but I am nervous that if the heat lamp goes out, my little ones will freeze out there. The chicks are getting pretty flighty not to mention one of my Daushounds thinks that they are her babies! She keeps jumping into their tub and snuggling with them! She doesn't hurt em, but boy do they get uptight about it! (haha)

Eagle, Waterloo, and Lake WaConDa.........are these 'panhandle' towns? I was born in Fairbury, raised in Crete. When we left Crete in '78, it was about 24 miles from Lincoln. I can imagine it must be a bit closer by now?

Sorry to hear it's so cold there. I can't stand being cold, so Arizona's a good fit for me.

Chicken-mama, we're not in the panhandle. Eagle is about 10 miles east of Lincoln, Waterloo is a little northwest of Omaha and Lake WaConDa is straight south of Omaha, east of Lincoln along the missouri river.

I have NO idea where waterloo is.......
