Nebraska?

Thanks Aaron - those girls are simply beautiful! It is so hard to find such pretty things - and impossible at a hatchery.
I did send you an email earlier...

I also have noticed a co-op thingie in town, I will give them a call and see if they can help with the horse feed, or point me in the right direction.

THANK YOU!

Wanted to Share Aaron's beautiful girls.... (with permission)

Well, I'm no longer a Nebraskan... had to take off Saturday night, I'm in Mississippi at my dad's now... made it safe and sound, my car thankfully didn't break down but I gotta get it in the shop real soon, the brakes are gonna go out soon... my poor dog hates me, but will adjust... my stepmom is NOT thrilled that my dog is here... but my dad told me it would be ok (without checking with her) cuz he just wanted me back home... Maybe, hopefully, one day I'll wind up back in Nebraska, I love it there... but for now, guess I'm stuck down here...

Glad you made it home ok, Farmgirl, worried about you driving with bad brakes.

You take care and keep in touch.

Chelly, not sure if you seen my hatching thread? How much do you like Speckledhen's Suede? I am hatchin some of her chicks, but they are from the light Brahma becuz her blue orp pullet wasnt laying fertile eggs just yet. I know I cant keep them all and I know you said you liked them, we might have to do a road trip if you want a few.

I might be interested in a few, but I don't want any Roo's at this point, if I do get a Roo it will be from Aaron... I don't want to have more and have them fight with each other. I do like Suede, very pretty and lovely coloring !!

I'm currently trying to get transport and fencing put up for my horse - She's due to ship out of California in the second week of September - I'm not sure how much fencing is going to be, we're trying to find someone to help us with that..... and then I'm still on the hunt for Hay for her, cause she's so picky and we dont' have the space or equipment to buy those huge round bales....

Between the kids, animals and work - I need more TIME in my day I swear..... we should settle down in about a month I think (I HOPE)

I am in Louisville 25 minutes south of Omaha. Myself and another lady are trying to get chickens approved in our development. Our HOA has a pretty basic covenant against chickens. It falls under a nuisance law and it is 15 words long. We have been denied once already. Next year will be interesting. We have proposed a pilot program, a covenant amendment, a benefits of chickens fact sheet with sources and still nothing. None of which those items have been shown to the public. We are not allowed to email or petition because our HOA said it is disrespectful of other peoples opinions. Know they are taking credit for all of our hard work and allowing everyone to believe they did all the research. We are looking into legal assitance because we feel we are not being treated fairly. Sorry got cut off. We are also looking into support from our local government, city council and anything else we can think of. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
