NEE HELP ASAP very sick chicken

Quote: The first vet I saw just assumed that with the combo of age, weight loss and yellow poop (just one with yellow poop) that it was blackhead *and* probably an infection, so she prescribed metronidazole (30mg/kg for 5 days), Baytril (20mg/kg for five days) and Safeguard (50mg/kg once and repeat in 10 days) A fecal float was done for both and they both came back negative. What was interesting with both of those was that only one had yellow poop, the other had foamy brown poop. Perhaps if I had started treating sooner they would have lived, but that was several years ago, well before I knew how easy it was to treat. Necropsies found blackhead, E.coli and yeast.

I'm not positive, but maybe sometimes they can see it under a scope like they can with coccidiosis? If you happen to find some blackhead links, please forward them to me.
