I am sorry about the ones you lost. I have had many a hatch like that.
It sounds like your humidity was too high.
I finally got a 1588 after waiting 3 years for one. The other one I bought last year works real good but it doesn't have windows for me to see what is going on in there. Since I got that one on
Ebay last year I have noticed they have come out with a clear plastic one that you can see everything through.
Atleast you hatch wasn't a total loss. Enjoy the few that did hatch and try again!

My hatch is all done. I had 2 early on that were no good when I candled. so out of the total 38 eggs I got 11.
had to throw 2 out at the beginning they were not fertile at all.
I lost 2 after they were born, looked as though they did not finish absorbing their egg sacks into them. Really looked like it was their intestines were out but that is not what it was. Had 2 like that.
Then one was born splay legged and paralyzed sure was a fighter for awhile was going to see if I could get his legs fixed. When I held him or her up with the legs set right it was trying to walk. Well when I got home Thursday after wrk it had passed away.
I ended up throwing out 27 eggs. They just never did anything. I kept them in a day or 2 longer than they should have been. I am happy with the ones that I did get they are a week and a day old now and few are a week old today. I got me a little silkie in there with them now from a member of my town chicken group off yahoo. He is hanging out with them and they are taking great care of him or her as well. He or she was born the same day as my others.
I have been trying to get some good pics of them but my camera on my phone is not to good. Need to clean the cage out today so hopefully I can get some of them as I put them back into the brooder.
