Need a way to attach welded wire to cattle panels and to itself

The hog ring pliers make it really easy to use the hog rings. Then you can probably close them a little more with a good squeeze with pliers. I find the zip ties marked UV protected last longest. They still freeze and crack if moved alot but they last longer for me.

Jaxon4141: I think you are right about the raccoons and wood(that particle board they chewed thru was really hard, with all the glue in it), had to cut it with a carbide blade. I don't even like to use wood for caging if I can help it.
Bare Foot and organick: I will use the rings. I did notice at Orschelns that their rings close down to a triangular shape. Is this also the case with C rings and loxit rings? In some pix I've seen the loxits appear to be circular?

Romex wire works wonders. I use it to secure just about everything you could imagine, but we are electrical contractors and always have small pieces of scrap for me to use.

I use rebar ties. They have a little ring on each end and you get a tool for about 3 bucks that you use to twist the wires on with. FOR extra strength, use two rebar ties. It costs about 2.50 for 100 ties (or 1000 for 10 bucks) at home depot and they cut off with a pair of dikes really quickly. They hold for a long time. The advantage is that they pull the cattle panels together pretty quickly when you twist them together.

Be careful when twisting them that you don't overtwist or they will break. BUT they are cheap so you can just put on a couple more.

You can get longer, stronger ones, but will have to go to a builders supply or concrete supply for those. Worth the extra effort, though because then you can use them to tie the cattle panel to a bigger post.
