Need advice about abandoned rooster (PIC)

That's how we always caught them at night - If you grab him by the legs he can't spur , but a lot of people can't stand to do this because they flap their wings and some make an awful racket. Maybe if you find an old time chicken keeper he or she can come over at night and do it for you. Let us know how it turns out!!

And also I would like to say that there are several reasons to raise these type of chickens besides the "unmentionable" one. They are great broodies, they are super hardy and thrifty, resistant to a lot of disease and their spirit is so great- I've had games and game crosses on and off all my life and I have never had them for the "unmentionable" Crossing these type chickens on egg- layers or even bantams will give you some chickens that you will fall in love with!! just a plug for the breed !! Couldn't help myself!!

also friendly too, i had some of these "agressive roosters" (that will attack anything) one that would sit on my shoulder.. just stand there forever. and i can count at least 10 (Way more than that though) that i could lay on they're back with head rested on my arm. pet their "Stomach" or whatever i wanted to do to them and they would never do anything.. this is also while i was a little kid since i am only a teen now

If he did have a violent past, there's a place in Maryland that rehabilitates roosters used for that purpose. If your willing to drive that far, the place is called Eastern Shore Education and Rehabilitation Center. Good Luck finding him a home!!!
