Need Advice, not the chicken I was promised.

Hoover doesn't sell purebred Ameraucana, but they do call their EE's 'Americana'.

Personally, I'd say that's what you've got. There's no way of knowing what went into the mix, and they do specify that the feathers and eggs can be pretty much any coloration. You got seriously overcharged by the place you bought them from, however.

This is my first go-round with Hoover hatcheries. In previous years that Hatchery wasn't being sold at our farm supply store here. I unwittingly took for granted the price point and didn't do my research on the Hatchery until a month after I purchased the chicks
 
Those are what my EE's from Hoover's looked like, only with poofy faces.

EE's have no guarantee of having muffs and beards - a lot are missing one or both, and they can be any color or combination of colors and feather types, pretty much.
I know if you read my previous View posts I'm well aware of the muffin beer situation and also the coloration because they're not recognized breed.
