Need advice on hatching please

Could not get good shots of the aircells in the rest. Did lose the 2nd Mallard egg, it was starting to stink.

I still feel like the air cells are a bit small on all of them, except the cracked one. Since moving it to the warmer spot near the open vent it has started to catch up in development and it seems like the air cell is not growing anymore.

Last night started day 23, so I won't turn the Mallard egg starting tomorrow morning. Will wait for it to pip before adding a humidity source. Will stop turning the rest Thursday evening.

Candled all of mine last night. Everything looking good, other than air cells being a bit on the small side. Interestingly though, I have one duck egg that is really, really full! Not really sure why he already seems to take up so much of the space, but he's still moving. I hope he doesn't get trapped in there. But he looks much further along than the others. Guess we'll know in about a week.

Well the "problem" egg has started to catch up to the others since I moved it to the warmer spot. So maybe move that one to a cooler spot to slow him down a bit. I have also been rotating the position of the rest of them every evening when I do the last turn for the day.

I think my temp was too low. Heard one cheeping last night when I candled. Air cells finally grew so I've upped the humidity. Going to wait and see. Pretty sure only 2 of the duck eggs are still alive, but will wait it out.

Came home to two of the duck eggs having pipped. My attempt to raise the humidity did not work as well as I hoped. One of the two was most likely my cheeper from last night, it started talking as soon as I lifted the lid.

A little concerned since the other one broke through below the edge of the air cell. Hear a clicking noise coming from it, so I know it is still alive. Re-reading the assisted hatching article as soon as it loads.

Well re-reading helped a ease my concern. Saw movement with candling so it should be ok. Will keep an eye on it until I go to bed, while trying to get the humidity stabilized at a good level.

Hopefully the chicks won't be far behind.

Internet connection got bogged down...ran a quick errand after having typed that, and the talker is already zipping, about a half inch past the original opening, won't be long now.
