Need advice on neighbor concerning my duck...HELP!!!

is there a fence? did the duck have to fly to get there? if so go get him, when you think they won't be home, and then clip wings!

Yes i have tried to call and talk to the neighbor, they didnt answer so i keep leaving messages on the machine. I told them that my duck was with theirs and still NO responces. and guess what?... i havnt seen ANY of her ducks since i first called, i think she penned them all up so i couldnt go investigate. I would go while they are not home but her mother lives right across the road and she is a very very nosey person and would snitch me out...O and since she has them penned up i will not go over and grab it becuase i dont know if i can get into anymore trouble for that or not, like breaking and entering or something.. o and by the way i live in indiana....

Have you called the police yet and informed them of the situation? I am sure they will accompany to investigate to see if it is your duck, and then you won't be able to get in trouble. Make sure you bring a few pictures.

Right. I think it would be considered trespassing if you went over there, so best to tread lightly. Hope you get your duck back!

Call them and tell them you are worried because your duck has [insert communicable disease here]. You might actually find your duck dropped off on your doorstep!

Otherwise . . . you will probably either have to file a complaint (theft?) or wait until the ducks are out and about again. It would probably be smart to try to go about this within the letter of the law, but that doesn't mean you will have good results.

But they would have to kill their ducks too! And no, I wasn't really serious, because they would probably figure their ducks already caught whatever it is and just not do anything about it . . . though they might contact you and try to figure out what the disease is?
