THE SITUATION
Pullet is wheezing and sneezing. Laid first egg today, so might heNone of the others in the flock (7 hens, 1 rooster) are showing these symptoms. Isn’t lethargic and is eating normally. Nothing obviously wrong or dirty in the coop.

Video of the wheezing and sneezing:

THE ASK
What might be wrong with her?
What can I do about it?

WHAT IM TRYING
I’m isolating her in a smaller coop and have cleaned the coop. Gave her some liquid vitamins in her water.
Going to go buy vetRX from a farm supply store.

Thanks for the help!

She is having stridor, which is a sound that is made by something partially obstructing the airway, such as a small piece of food, mucus plugs, or swelling. Since she is also sneezing, she may have a respiratory infection or disease. Your other chickens have probably already been exposed at the same time she was. I would probably put her back, and watch to see that she is eating and drinking normally. Have you added any new birds to the flock recently? Watch for any nasal drainage, and bubbles or foam in an eye.

Thank you, eggcessive! You were right— she is now ok. I think if she were less active/ not eating/ had mucus it might be a different story.
