Need advise on introduction of new chicks

Can I introduce my 4, 6 week old chicks with 5 month old chickens in the same deep litter system?
Note:All the chickens were hatched by artificial incubation

Can you set them in with a divider for a day or so keeps older from pecking ?

It depends on how big each group is, on the temperaments of the individual chickens, and on whether the younger ones have places to get away from the older ones.

If the older ones are a fair bit bigger than the younger ones, you could try this idea:

It basically involves making a safe space for the little ones, with doors that only little ones can get through.

If the chicks get along with each other, then sharing the same litter will be fine.
