I have a small flock of chickens and last week i noticed one of my hens limping.I figured she must have strained herself some how.so i kept a close eye on her, and everyday she seemed to get worse.I closely inspected her legs and found nothing, no bruises ,no spots under feet ,no swelling of any kind i tried hand feeding her for a couple of days and she would eat but could just lay there.she ended up getting even worse and would lay in the corner of the coop with her wings out and could barely move so i decided put her down.so now this week my favorite roo has the same thing happening to him he is weak and just lays there and it started with a limp also.no visible problems with his legs at all.no coughing no runny eyes don't know what is wrong and need some advise quick before i loose my whole flock.thanks

Sorry for your loss. It's so hard to tell what's wrong...whether it's sickness or injury.
Could it be Mareks? It a progressive paralysis. Another symptom is irritation at the feather base.
I hope your roo recovers.

I can't diagnose your problem but I have a few suggestions. Isolate any sick birds immediately. They might survive if you keep them very warm (like 80 degrees). It surely sounds like an illness. Have you brought in new birds or had your birds out to a show recently? I know this is scary and I hope it gets better.
