Need answer quick.

OK so this is what happened. i tried really hard not to crack open an egg and see if it was alive (couldnt find a flash light) and I opened 1, it was dead. I opened the second one and it was underdeveloped and just a little bit alive. it died in a matter of seconds though.

So my question is what the hell, the temp, humidity, everything else was PERFECT!! hatch day was yesterday... so what the heck would make them be underdeveloped? should I wait for the rest of the chicks to hatch or what do i need to do? since one was underdeveloped i want to give them as much time as i can to hatch. How long is too long?

I would get the humidity back up and leave the lid on especially if you have other eggs in there, your temp could have been off and it will take longer, it could have been open too long for the chicken eggs....don't touch if you don't have a light to check...what if you had cracked an egg to see if alive or not with a fully developed chick? People have spikes and lows and it just is faster or longer, give them a few more days, good luck!
