OK --- Thanks for all the above mentioned help. Ironically we do have a Widlife Rescue here on our property. We donated a piece of our land to them. The rehab/release--- that said they do not very good luck with rabbits so the lady that runs the place said to use the mention recipe and hope for the best. They could take them or since we are only a football field away she trusts my ability to care for them. They are overrun with coons, fox, squirels etc.....

So SINCE!!! I can not return them I will give it a shot.

So far so good. They have eaten and are warm. We rubbed the butts with a warm baby wipe. So this is there only chance of survival.

Thanks again and send me good luck - I am afraid I will need it.

We have a wildlife rescuer in Wichita we took a KillDeer chick to her she had ratcoons, tortoises, baby birds, and yes bunnies.

guess i'll find out about the survival rate.
i was handed four this morning. i don't feed for 24 hours and only administer hydration and a heat source.

Good luck, I think you are doing the right thing in trying at least. Please keep us posted I am sure many like myself are not only praying for your success but also want to know how it all works out.

Good luck!

I've sucessfully raised 2, and I've lost many more. These two the kids found the dogs playing w/, they had hair, but their eyes weren't open. Since I had no idea where they came from there was no way I could put them back. One was wet and had a tiny bit of blood on it, I just knew it would be dead by the end of the day, but once it dried you couldn't even tell which it was! I have always heard it is bad to handle the babies, so the only thing I did different this time around is when I'd feed them (or anytime I had to touch them) I would wrap them in a rag rather then holding them. I didn't have any rabbit poo to feed them, but I've heard that before and if I ever try again I will try and find some.

I rescue a rabbit eariler this year, it was plenty big enough to be weaned, the cat had it. I took it from him and it didn't seem to be injured so I found it a safe place and turned it loose!

Do you have a wildlife rehab person near ?
I have a lady down the street that rehabs wildlife ?
where are you she might know someone near?
I can call her tomorrow to find out if you haven't found anyone or aren't having any luck with the babies.

So far still alive---we are feeding at dawn and dusk. And keeping them warm, other than that we are NOT touching them. If they survive we want to release them somewhere safe.

They are all eating well-I used the recipe given, but was unable to find "bone meal". I have no idea what that is.

Thanks

Do they have their eyes open? Are they big enough to eat grass? if so, then are big enough to be let go. The moms wean them at about four weeks of age. After that they are on their own.
