some times at night it gets to -0 when it gets that cold should i put a hot water bottel in with them

you can put a hot watter bottle but what i find out that works the best is either hay or heat lamps like the red ones.. that should keep them warm at night. right now I will have to use hay and put on the sides of the dog house for them.. and inside as well

mine are only a month old right now, three dark cornish bantams and one Autralorp but more on the way soon

Um, if you leave chicks with the mother hen, she takes care of keeping them warm.
