Can someone please answer my question about if u count the days it was sat on by the goose? If it counts then I'm not day 20 but like day 24. If I candled it the day I took it and started incubating and there was nothing then does that mean I start counting from the 21st and not 17th. I have been told both. I am still concerned. Please explain.

Goose, you would have seen something when you candled it before putting in bator if the goose had triggered the cooking process before you took the egg. With your air cell so small, I would go with the later start date, and run your bator much drier. I run my bator around 40% for goose eggs to get the required weight loss. I have learned (the hard way) that if that air cell does not take up 1/3 of your egg by hatching, then there may be too much fluid inside inner membrane for the baby to internally pip.

Yes, you count the days the goose sat on them.

air sac. this would be day 22 if counting from the first day I put it in the incubator. I dropped my humidity to 40%. LOTS of movement in egg. is this enough air.. :-(

Looks good! I would take it out of bator every day, mist and let cool for 30 minutes. That should help increase your air cell to a better size.

been taking it out and letting it cool for 30 min. Hardly any water in the bottom. Still 40%. Checked airsac size and its the same. :-(. Its supposed to hatch in 3 days right? what now? I have to start raising humidity soon. I really am thinking the poor things gonna drown.
