Need help ASAP!!!

Goose, if you repost on the goose hatching thread, there is a pro named Celtic that can advise you better than me. Hope to see you over there to help you with your hatch.

Thank you. I tried posting a couple days ago in the goose section but got zero response. I'm not sure how to find the person your talking about. Anyway to send them a message to look at my post?:/

lower the humidity as it may be too high and thats why egg not loosing correct weight

here is a guide line

Geese 28 – 32 days

Still/Forced Air
37.3 C (99.5) F
45 – 55 RH%

Contact
39.5 C (103.1) F
45 – 55 RH%

Lockdown
65 RH%

Weight Loss
14%
crap.. maybe this is why I am having problems, I did the first humidity right but these last three days, I have had it up to 75 percent for lockdown. Is this why mine will not hatch? they are pipped but seem stuck. I did this same two weeks ago and they died in the shell after pipping. should I lower it and hope for the best or leave it this time. they are on dday three of lockdown. today is day 28

In my climate, having only 65% humidity for lockdown is a guarantee for shrinkwrap. I was having shrink wrap problems at 73%, so raised it to 80% for lockdown and that has worked much better.

What is shrink wrap? I still need to get in touch with the guy u had mentioned.

shrink wrapping is HORRIBLE. It is when the inner membrane of the egg gets lilke leather because if to little humiity and they cant break thru and they suffocate inside the shell. After death you can break the egg open and they are perfectly formed and literally like you put them in a plastic bag and sucked all the air out and it is tightly wrapped around them. I had that with three of my eggs two weeks ago.

shrink wrapping is the worse thing to happen

all that hard work just to get a suffocated chick

its worse then early/ late in egg deaths

i think it all depends on the bator as well

lager baters take longer to humidify and loos it alot quicker when opened so need it higher

where as 10 egg or smaller could cope with 65% as they come up to humidity quicker when its lost by opening
