Need help, Composting with Chicken poop

@aart True, but I only have the one turning composter and the hens took over the space under it so really this year is a bust :) Might as well just sit till April and see what is in it
;)

NEXT year I hope to be more proactive with it if I want faster compost.
in the area 4feet deep by 15 long, along the house where it is, has turned into the hens dig spot. So I have been just tossing scrap stuff in that area. Still put poop in composter for the heat.
I really don't have much to compost :(

You need a garden. But you can also compost leaves, grass clippings etc.

I do compost most of that, but I mulched the grass this year because it didn't grow much. Too bad, I like mowing.
Leaves I mulched up and put in hen area mostly, some went to the compost dump.

I WANT a garden, but the layout of the house, small lot and sun exposure does not allow me much. I am lucky that the purple cone flowers grew :fl
Hoping in 2 years to buy and make a farm :love

You can do container gardening...

I do that on the deck, kinda. I had the strawberries up there this year and my thyme.
Chipmunk ate the berries (he is gone now :sick )
I don't have an outside spigot :( so watering is tough. I usually let mother nature do her thing. And Flowers I do have work well but it has taken 3 years for them to establish well.

When I get a "farm" I will be going ALL OUT !! :clap:old

Today i picked a bucket of weeds , crammed them in my compost bin and poured in a bunch of water. Most of it will leak out anyway because of the hole with the pipe sticking out in the bottom. No reading on the compost thermometer yet. The chickens had fun going in and getting scratch and raw pumpkin today in the solar water heater.
