Need help diagnosing mass embryo death

Now I'm really confused. My 2 remaining eggs are currently hatching 2 full days early. That would typically indicate a higher incubation temperature, however my backup thermometer reads 99°F and my incu thermometer is set to 102.5°F because in my previous hatches the incubator was 3-4°F off.

Not sure which one to trust now.

Did you calibrate either?

I can't calibrate my incu thermoter. It's that fancy type that is built into the lid.

The other one I did. Ice water read 32°F but that doesn't necessarily mean it will read correctly at 100°F.
 
Does your backup thermometer take batteries? Could that be it? Low batteries definitiely make temps skewed, IMO

It's a spirit thermometer.
