He probably has cocci. Get some Sulmet from the feed store and follow the directions. Make sure he's on medicated starter. Get the Sulmet today, cocci kill fast.

My garage is to cold for him, he is about 3 months now, and i dont have any money until tomorrow. Is there anything i can do like a home remedy for tonight?

AMPROLIUM FAST!!!!!!!!! Call every feed store and Tractor supply in the
area. It may be a wierd fluke but chances are it's Cocci. Sulmet is much
harder than Amprolium on a chick.

ARE YOU STILL READING THIS??? GET AMPROLIUM NOW!!!!!

I lost 7 silkies last month to cocci. It sucks.

Thanks guys for the advice
Now he his not pooping blood, Patch said to watch him very close and if i see any changes like more blood or not eat or not drink then get him on that med, he is about 3 or 4 months.

Hi shay,

Any changes? Have you gotten the meds yet? I hope it was a fluke but better safe than sorry. Cocci can take them really fast. I did't sleep well for days b/c I was up constantly checking my bunch. I gave mine the meds for 6 days then I fed them some yougurt. If you can find the amprolium thats the best as PC said but I couldnot find it here and had to drive an hour away to get sulmet. Mine started having bloody poo Friday evening so I could not get meds till Monday morning.

But I did move them to a new brooder and change thier waterer (DL said it was really hard to kill the cocci on the waterer) and feeder. Also do you have them on medicated feed? I hope ur chicks do ok. Let us know how they do.
