Need HELP!! - identifying my rabbits age.

I'm kind of leaning toward Mini Lop, though sometimes it can be hard to be sure. The Holland Lop is one of the breeds that employs the dwarfing gene to get the really typey, tiny animal described in the breed standard. Since the dwarfing gene is lethal if the rabbit inherits it from both parents, you can't breed true for it, and you will always get some rabbits that don't inherit the dwarfing gene and grow a little larger. We often call those animals "false dwarfs." A false dwarf Holland can easily be the size of a smaller Mini Lop.

This is a false dwarf Holland that I had.

As Hollands go, she was enormous, weighing over 5 lbs. A friend of mine teased me about her - "are you sure that thing isn't a Mini Lop?" - but both of her parents were pedigreed Hollands. She was a real sweetheart; wound up with of all things, a career as a TV star.

i still don't really understand what breed my rabbit is or what mix it is.
I mean i understand she might be a velveteen lop mix, but is it always going to be a guess and not an actual answer of her true breed/mix? or will it be better to just wait until she is older and then see her true form?

With a rabbit that is a good example of its breed, someone who knows rabbit breeds will be able to identify it right away. With the others, you may never be able to get further than, "some type of lop/lop mix."

And that's the problem with your rabbit. Looking at her, I can tell that she isn't a good example of an English Lop, a French Lop, a German Lop, a Mini Lop, a Holland Lop, an American Fuzzy Lop, or a Velveteen Lop. She might be a cross between two of those breeds, or a Lop and another breed without the lopped ears, she might even be some breed I've never heard of - I'm sorry, but it's not clear just what she is.
