One of my two week old chicks, an Easter Egger, is limping and we aren't quite sure what to do. She has been limping since we got her(we didn't realize it was a full limp until the day after we got them) putting little to no weight on her right leg. The leg is slightly twisted outward, but nowhere near as bad as the straddle legged chicks we looked up, and other than resting a lot more than the others, she acts pretty normal. She eats and drinks, pecks, peeps occasionally, and loves being held. We tried figuring out if it was slipped tendon, but since these are out first chicks we just couldn't be sure. The only other thing I have noticed is that she seems to breath faster than the other four chicks, but not with her mouth open(no panting) and haven't noticed anything else out of the ordinary.

We added some Poly-Vi-Sol to their water two days ago but don't know if its working or when she should know it is. I hope someone can help! I'm a chicken newb and am very worried about my poor disabled chicky.

I hope it's nothing too serious.

I have an Easter Egger who has a bum leg, too, and I just couldn't find out what it could be (I thought it was a slipped Achille's tendon, too).
At around ten-months old, she seemed like she was dying. We took her to the vet (which we should've probably done MONTHS before), and he said she seemed healthy, and probably broke her leg as a chick. Yours might have, also.

I don't think there's anything I can do for my girlie now, since her bones are obviously fully formed and all, but you might be able to help your chick, still; since she's young.

Let me call in two very helpful experts who can probably offer better / more advice: @Wyorp Rock, @Eggcessive
Here's my thread on Hope's story, if it may help a little, also: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/slipped-achilles-tendon.1284961/

Hi @CoopThereItIs :frow Welcome To BYC

I'm sorry about your chick, what a cutie!
If the leg is slightly twisted outward, it might be a slipped tendon, but it could also be a leg bone deformity Valgus Varus, Rotated Tibia or similar. https://www.merckvetmanual.com/poul.../noninfectious-skeletal-disorders-in-broilers

It's hard to tell in photos and chicks don't stand still do they! Is the joint swollen or is it flat at the back? Compare her to some of the other chicks and let us know.
Some leg conditions are hard to fix and some cannot be fixed. You can try wrapping and/or splinting the leg to see if that helps. If you can feel the tendon has slipped out, try to fix it, but the older they get, the harder it is for it to stay.

This thread shows how to tape Slipped tendon

If you will, read/look through the link that @Better Than Rubies posted above, her lovely Hope had some problems, but with devoted care and attention she has pulled through. A lot depends on your goals as a chicken keeper. Since you are new to all this, it may be a challenge taking care of a bird with a deformity, but I think you can do it. That said, if you plan on doing any breeding, don't hatch eggs from this little one, most leg deformities are genetic, so you don't want to pass that on. If she lays eggs, just eat them:)

I would crush up 1/4tablet B-Complex and add it to her feed daily for a week too.

Depending on how the leg "grows" with the chicken, she may be able to manage. Sometimes as they gain weight the leg condition can worsen and the chick fails to thrive or the other chicks begin to pick on them. This little guy had some leg issues and his owner wrapped to leg to offer support. Last account he was managing o.k.
